My son said it was one of the best burgers he has ever had! The atmosphere was so fun and I loved the pink tile in the bathroom! What a preserved treasure of a diner!

The term home cooking is way overdone, but it fits this restaurant. Most of the customers are regulars so you can't quite participate in the conversations on your first trip. The menu is nothing unusual, primarily a meat and three kind of place. You can of course order the usual hamburger. there are only a few tables so if you land in the middle of lunch hour, you might have to wait a little while.

Fun and lively, place was packed and everyone was having a good time. Be sure to bring money, no credit cards!

I think this is the oldest restaurant in town. Great staff, who will tell you to "go to h***" if they want. Classic comfort food and an amazing old building. May it be in business forever!

Previous reviews are correct! This place is just like eating at your kitchen or dining room table at home! Home cooking extraordinaire!! Cheeseburgers are to die for & cooked too order!! Burger, Fries, Glass of Tea & side of coleslaw $10!! U can hardly find that anywhere anymore!! Only thing I can object to is the very small portion of Fries they serve!! Could have been a little bit bigger!! I highly recommend this establishment 4 quick bite @ lunch time if you can find it! Not much parking, suggest you get here early though! Cash or local checks only for payment. NO C.C's accepted!! Staff are very friendly, patient & treat you like family!!

The friendlist, and most down home place in Chattanooga to eat. The patrons and the owners are all amazing..Reminds me of my mother's cooking. It is a 100 year old icon..have to go!!!!

Got the Burger with Fries AND the Open Face Roast Beef with Creamed Potatoes and Green Beans (Leftovers for dinner!). Everything was fantastic and the family/staff were very friendly and funny. I'll definitely be back!

This place looks like a whole in the wall but looks are deceiving. We read the reviews and thought it would make a good road trip and we are glad we did. We had the cheeseburgers, which were awesome. We got there right at closing time but they stayed open for us to eat and then another couple came in and they served them too. They treated us like family and we have never been there before. The only thing to be cautious of is the tea is verrrryyyy sweat. We will definitely eat here again.

It is a great place to eat and good old southern hospitality Love the place and the owners are super people can't say a enough good things about it.

If there's any reason to go back it's because the staff is nice and you might like the crowd of regulars that go. Otherwise, the food is average at best, and, at the same price point, you can get better. (Although the lemon ice box pie was great.) A huge downside to this place for me is that it's also cash only. While any one thing wouldn't keep me from coming back, the whole package isn't worth it for me to go back.

Great food at great prices! I had the cheeseburger and fries with homemade strawberry ice cream for desert! Everything was great. Nothing fancy, just good food and pleasant atmosphere!

Found this place through word of mouth or would have totally missed it!Some people say "home cooking" and some people have it. Zarzour's has it! You'll not be disappointed!

Yes, you read right. This restaurant has been in business for over 100 years.... recently rated as the best burger in Tennessee, nothing fancy at all....you may hear a little bantering back & forth between management & customers but it's all "love bantering". great vegetables & the best damn burger in town for sure. You may see movers & shakers of Chattanooga or your average Joes..... everyone loves Zarzour's.

After living in Chattanooga for three years I finally tried this place. I had a burger. It was average, which is not a bad thing. The service was good the staff was nice. The restaurant is very dirty. The table was very sticky.

This is the oldest restaurant in Chattanooga (over 100 years) and it is easy to see why: they know how to cook. My father works nearby, so I have been coming here for years. They have the best home cooked meals with a menu that changes regularly. Their staff treats you like family and goes out of their way to make your experience the best possible. My favorite thing on the menu is the cheeseburger - which they make to order - but any of their daily specials is guaranteed to make you feel as if you are in your grandmother's kitchen.

Our favorite burgers in town (the not fancy, messy kind!) Oldest continuously run restaurant in the city. Family-run, tiny, and only open for lunch.

Had one of best burgers in Tennessee. Juicy delicious and filling. They are cash and check only. No debit or credit cards don't let that detour you. You stay in business in the same location for 100 years because your food is just that darn good.
